Flashback
What is Flashback?
In 2018, Mission released a revolutionary product called EEPROM backup. The aim of it was to offer our users some restore point not only of the tuned sectors of the DME, but also of the “blackbox” or FASTA areas for warranty or emissions testing reasons. Since then, the EEPROM backup functionality grew and developed into what now is known as Flashback. Flashback is Mission’s propriety and unique solution to the safety and security of customers’ DMEs. This function allows the user to restore their DME, at will, to any given point in time, limited only to the time the backup was performed.
What does it do?
Each time the user performs a DME backup function using M-Link, he is presented with a file containing a mirror image of their DME at that specific time. With that image file in hand, the user can use Flashback to restore the DME, exactly as a 1 to 1 copy, to that specific time the backup was made. Every sector is restored, including the OBD flashable zones (aka your Tune/Calibration data), as well as BlackBox data containing your vital driving information, security keys, FASTA data (boost, top speed, Gs, etc).
