Recovery is available to our Unlock-Only licensed customers and is a limited version of Flashback. This feature is a fail-safe backup to prevent a bricked DME in the unlikely case an error was to happen during unlock procedure. Recover restores a small portion of the DME’s memory segment that contains the unlock, thus undoing any changes the unlock has done.
System Limitations and Warnings
Treat this as a last resort option for DME recovery in case an error happens during ECU unlock procedure.
Recovers an Unlock-related portion of memory to the state at which the backup was performed.
No checks of compatibility will be performed: If your ECU has been updated post-backup and a new backup was never performed, then the recovered memory segment will be of the “original” DME version. This means that a compatibility error might come up, resulting in DME being unable to start the vehicle until it is flashed over OBD with your choice of tuning platform or a Flashback function is performed using M-Link
