Even though every product and solution Mission sells to the public is built, tried and tested before release, datalogging can still be a useful tool to fine-tune and refine an optimization to the general public based on wear and conditions. Access to datalog live view is available to everytone, however recording of datalogs is only available to our licenesed customers. Once the user records a datalog, it will be stored on the cloud and can be accessed, deleted or shared by the user at any time.

Setting Up Datalog

  • User can rename the datalog as they please in the “Datalog Name” field.

  • Depending on vehicle and firmware level, users will have access to “Datalog Parameters” and “Advanced Parameters“.

    • Datalog Parameters: These are the “vitals” data of the vehicle containing most important data such as RPM, Torque, Ignition, Load, Knock, etc

    • Advanced Parameters: Some firmware versions will allow for logging of advanced parameters known as Runtime Values. These are “hidden” variables from general public by BMW, and are used to troubleshoot or finetune firmware during development stages.

  • User can control what parameters they want to record by clicking on “Parameters” and enabling/disabling the specific paramters.

  • User can also change the order at which the paramters appear on the live view by clicking Edit and dragging the specific paramter.

  • Clicking Live View button will take you to the datalog live view screen and display current values that are being read out from the vehicle.

Recording Datalog

  • In the live view mode, you can scroll the guages display to preview specific datastream as you sit fit.

  • Pressing a Red circle button in the lower middle of hte screen will start recording the log, pressing it again will stop.

  • During recording, timer on the left will start increasing to display the length of current datalog.

  • User can start recording a log, pause the recording by pressing the red stop button, and then record again as they see fit. That will create an additional datalogfile for the new section that is being recorded.

  • Pressing Done button will stop the live view and upload the datalog to the cloud.

Share / Delete Datalog

  • User can share or delete a datalog they have recorded by navigating to View Previous tab of Datalog screen.

  • This screen will contain all of the datalogs the user has stored for the vehicle that is currently connected

  • Share button allows for the user to send the specific datalog via text, airdrop or email.
