Technically speaking, the unlock feature is designed to remove the requirement for an official dealer firmware check before “unlocking” the DME. This allows the DME to be “flashed” on any tuning platform. In basic terms, it’s an at-home bench unlock! The proprietary in house designed Mission software features an array of automatic safety features, ensuring a safe and easy unlock to be performed. Unlocks are unlimited, and the MLink device “mates” once to the first vehicle it connects to.
