The unlock feature is designed to remove the requirement of an official firmware check, allowing the user to flash their DME with the tuning platform of their choosing. Equipped with In stock form, DMEs can only be updated (flashed) with BMW factory-designed firmware. By leveraging proprietary Mission M-Link technology, the requirement mentioned above is eliminated. And allows users to unlock their DME and flash at home with any tuning platform.
The M-Link software features an array of automatic safety features, the unlock functionality ensures ensuring a safe and user-free functionalityeasy unlock to be performed. Once M-Link is connected to the DME, it becomes “mated” to it, and subsequent unlocks are unlimited and can be performed at any given time, and as many times are wanted.
